rebrand 101:

5 Tips For Re-Branding While Juggling Your Workload

1) Why the rebrand?

Think about why you're rebranding. Has your business changed? Have your products or services evolved? Perhaps your customers have shifted or grown. These questions will guide you. Sometimes, rebranding is just a natural part of your business's growth, updating to reflect what you offer. But it's not always just about looks; it goes deeper. Often, you sense a need to rebrand because your customers are changing, and you need to change with them. Considering these questions will help set the stage for the other four tips I'm about to share.

2) Look at industry competitors

Taking a closer look at your industry competitors can provide valuable insights into finding your own path. By studying their successes and failures, you can better understand how to position your brand effectively. Take note of strategies you admire and those you'd prefer to avoid, as this will help you find a unique space in the social media world that is individual to your brand. It's about learning from others while staying true to your brand identity and values. This process of observation and analysis can serve as a compass, guiding you toward a successful and distinct position within your industry.

3) collect inspo

And NOT for just 1 week! Give yourself 1-2 months to save this inspiration and see what you come across naturally. Whether you lean towards creativity or analysis, begin by gathering ideas and sources of inspiration. Utilize platforms like Pinterest, draw from brands you admire, or collect photos that resonate with you. Over this period, you will notice patterns in what you lean towards, providing clarity and direction. By aligning these insights with your initial reflections on your rebranding purpose, you'll start to see a cohesive vision form.

4) commit to the re-brand

Fully commit to the rebranding process – consistency in your brand's narrative is key as you want brand fluidity. When undertaking a rebrand, it's essential to develop a detailed checklist covering all necessary tasks and assets, along with how much time these things are going to consume (in addition to your work schedule), and of course how much they are going to cost. This is something you want to fully commit to. So it is essential to ensure you have a plan in place.

Every brand’s re-brand checklist will look different but below is ours:
